The route is quite simple, you just need to go straight on the road to Danang, when you get to Highway 1A, ask the locals how to get to Phu Loc commune, drive and look on the right side, there will be a large blue sign showing the direction to Bach Ma, turn into that road and go straight ahead.

You cross Hai Van Pass (through the tunnel or over the pass) and then go straight to Highway 1A while asking the locals, they will give you more accurate directions, or you can refer to Google maps.

How to get to Bach Ma?

To safely explore Bach Ma National Park, run straight ahead until you reach the ticket selling area where there are many border guard houses and a sign for Bach Ma National Park.

Purchase a ticket at the gate (price is 40,000 VND/ticket). To get to the peak of Bach Ma, there are only two options:

  • Option 1: Hike 19km uphill if you have enough time and energy. I intended to do this, but gave up and chose option 2 when I arrived.
  • Option 2: Rent a 12-seat vehicle to take you up to the peak. The cost for a round trip is 900,000 VND. If you have a large group, it will be more cost-effective, otherwise, try to arrive at Bach Ma early to wait for other groups to join and reduce the cost.

Sightseeing spots to discover at Bach Ma:

During your tour of Bach Ma National Park, in addition to exploring the natural scenery here, do not miss the chance to visit the plant caves in the forest, swim in the streams, and enjoy the local highland cuisine.

Hai Vong Dai.

When you visit Bach Ma Mountain Range, Hai Vong Dai is a destination you should not miss. From here, you can observe the entire natural scenery, even the Lang Co and Canh Duong seas. You will be amazed by the vastness and grandeur of this land and sky. Not only can you admire the scenery, but you can also ring the bells at the bell tower to break the silence of the space.

Explore Ngu Ho.

What’s fun about traveling to Bach Ma National Park? From the peak of Bach Ma Mountain, walking down about 2km, you will reach Do Quyen Villa area. Here, you will discover the next scenic spot called Ngu Ho. Do you know why it’s called that? It’s because there are 5 water lakes connected to each other formed from a large stream. Depending on the time of year you travel to Bach Ma, the water in these places can be more or less. Because the lakes are located high up and deep in the forest, the water is very cold and clear. There are also small waterfalls with a height of only about 4-5m flowing gently and splashing white foam on the rocks below.

Explore Do Quyen waterfall.

Explore Do Quyen waterfall – the fairy sleeping in the forest.

This is another famous tourist spot in Bach Ma National Park that you should not miss. If you come to Bach Ma but do not admire and look at Do Quyen waterfall, it means you have never been here. The waterfall is named after the most beautiful flower here – Do Quyen. This is the pride of Bach Ma and a magnificent masterpiece of nature because of its height of up to 300m. From Ngu Ho, tourists will follow a carefully constructed and secure forest path of about 2-3km to reach the top of Do Quyen waterfall, which splashes white foam all year round. If you want to go down to the foot of the waterfall to admire the full view of its grandeur, you will have to walk down about 600 steps of stairs.

Explore the hiking trails within the park.
