Explanation of Ngu Hanh Son
According to legend, once upon a time, there was an old fisherman who lived among the vast sands of the sea. One day, the old fisherman saw a very large dragon coming here to lay eggs. Suddenly, a golden turtle appeared out of nowhere, claiming to be the god Kim Quy, digging in the sand to bury the egg, then gave the old man one of his toenails and taught him how to look after dragon eggs.
Thanks to the magic turtle’s claws, the fisherman was able to prevent hawks and other wild animals from invading the hatchery. After that, the egg grew bigger and bigger. Until one day, the egg hatched into a beautiful girl, and the eggshell split into five pieces, becoming five mountains: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth.
Today, Marble Mountains is a natural ecological area interwoven with historical and spiritual relics.
In the pagodas and caves at Ngu Hanh Son are kept a large number of “ma chewing” texts – the system of Han Nom inscriptions; Specifically, there are about 90 phantom texts currently stored in 5 caves; 8 Buddhist inscriptions of the Nguyen lords are saved on the walls of Huyen Khong, Tang Chon and Van Thong caves.

In particular, the Xa Loi stupa at Linh Ung pagoda is the Xa Loi tower that worships the most stone Buddha statues in Vietnam.
Tam Thai Temple
